“Every Geek uses Gmail… it’s pretty much required.” FAIL. A real geek runs his own mailserver. # @codedragon: That’s fine. @allenap: No issues apart from wrestling with Zope3 and Python 2.5 (which I’ve worked around). Ubuntu itself is running fine as 64-bit. # @codedragon You do? Wow. After *numerous* software and performance problems over the past few days, I’ve now got a shiny new 64-bit install of Ubuntu 8.04.1. # Unfortunately it meant finally getting rid of that old Vista partition on my laptop. What a shame…

Just discovered Tiny Tiny RSS and it’s sensible handling of duplicate items. I may have to install! http://tt-rss.org/trac/ # Uh-oh - managed to kill my e-mail client. Not good. # Mail client fixed. Phew. # Of course having OTA synchonisation between my iPhone and Google is only useful if, you know, they actually sync something.

Looking forward to playing with Google Chrome…when they *eventually* get around to releasing for Linux. # Experimenting with the Ubuntu KVM sandbox upgrade tester # Why doesn’t the iPhone support per-account signatures in Mail? # I’m wondering if it’s possible to block someone’s Facebook status updates without de-friending them… # @jonobacon: but McDonalds do provide WiFi to make up for the food… # @dotwaffle: If it still is, it’s well hidden. Unless you mean blocking someone completely, which I don’t want to do. # @dotwaffle: I just want to stop their high volume of status updates. # Just noticed the rather heavy rain outside. #
